Can the Grinch Point Us To Jesus?

Can the Grinch point us to Jesus?

Well, for starters, His story shows us the importance of community.

The Grinch lives in a cave far away from the Whos. These people teach this creature how coming together bolsters love and unity.

Second, the Grinch’s story shows that presents aren’t the main focus of Christmas.

At the end, the Whos learn that all their Christmas presents were taken. Instead of being angry or frustrated, they gather in the town square to sing Christmas carols. These songs show the love, kindness and joy that can be received during this season. Finally, we can even hear Jesus mentioned!

Within The Grinch film, the truth about the real ‘reason for the season’ is inserted. Christmas carols are sung that say “Remember Christ our Saviour” and clearly allude to the Gospel.

So, even the Grinch can point to Jesus, the real meaning of the season.
