Do you know a young singer or musician dreaming of a career in music?
A trip to the sunshine state may be in order for them, because a host of music industry pros will be gathering on the Gold Coast to share their expertise with young people, at ‘MADE FOR THIS – Musician and Artist Development Experience’.
This FREE music industry event in September is aimed at 14-to-25-year-olds and will feature Tarryn Stokes (winner ‘The Voice’ 2023′), SVRCINA (international recording artist), Bridey Drake (entrepreneur and social media influencer), and Chico Johnson (music artist and youth mentor). The expert panel will also include industry leaders such as:
- Jared Hascheck, songwriter, music director, orchestrator
- Noddy Sharma – youth speaker and thought leader
- Tim Whincop – legal counsel and former head of Hillsong Music
- Anton Bekker – legal counsel and music management
- Shekeinah Hill – vocal producer and creative pastor
- Sam Valich – brand expert
The afternoon will include live performances, talks, Q&A time and expert advice. Music teachers, educators and parents / carers are also encouraged to attend.
Supported by Excelsia College, this event is an initiative of CMAA, as part of their mission to speak positively into the future and purpose of young people wanting to pursue music.
CMAA is actively involved in Australia’s music touring scene, having hosted national tours for artists such as For King & Country, Riley Clemmons, We Are Messengers, Jeremy Camp, and Rend Collective – and providing a platform for supporting artists including Bella Taylor Smith, Nathan Tasker and Tarryn Stokes.
MADE FOR THIS is on September 25 at the QT Hotel on the Gold Coast from 4pm to 5:30pm. Entry is free but registration is essential and seats are strictly limited.
