Taylor Swift is dating the NFL star Travis Kelce from the Kansas City Chiefs.
When Taylor Swift was spotted at a Chiefs game in September… sales on Kelce jerseys surged by 400%
But more than this, at the game, Taylor was seen eating chicken dipped into two sauces – ketchup, and something white, which one fan called “seemingly ranch”.
A viral photo of this moment sparked a flurry of retweets and memes, even prompting sauce brands to launch products labelled “seemingly ranch”. Sales went through the roof.
Even the Empire State Building lit up in red and white, in her honour.
This is the Taylor Swift Effect.
Anything linked to Taylor surges in value.
In the same way, in Jesus, Christians enjoy the Jesus Effect, where Jesus grants us infinite value.
Jesus doesn’t just wear our jersey. He becomes one of us.
But he’ll pass on the ketchup and “seemingly ranch”. He’s already sweet enough.
